Dr. Charisse Griffith-Charles, President of the Atlantic Region of the Commonwealth Association for Surveying and Land Economy (CASLE)

The ISTT wishes to congratulate Dr. Charisse Griffith-Charles, President Elect of ISTT, who was installed as the President of the Atlantic Region of the Commonwealth Association for Surveying and Land Economy (CASLE) at the CASLE 12th General Assembly held in Malta 4-7 May 2011. In this office she promises to maintain the CASLE objectives of encouraging the provision of adequate professional training, technology transfer and continuous professional development in the disciplines of surveying for the Commonwealth countries in the Atlantic region. The ISTT is a proud member of CASLE and looks forward to developing stronger linkages with the other professional member associations of CASLE in the region.

CASLE was formed in 1969 as a federation of independent professional societies representing surveying and land economy in Commonwealth countries. It currently comprises over 40 societies in 32 countries; it has approved Associate Members and correspondents, some of whom are in 19 other countries. The professional societies represented cover the disciplines of surveying and mapping, land economy, and quantity surveying and cost-control.
